Entrepreneur & Founder of Arcadia Following her bachelor’s degree, Amna joined her family-run business Habtoor Motors and exceeded in a successful marketing career before leaving to pursue her passion in perfumery. After studying fragrance-making at England’s The Cotswold Perfumery in 2015, Amna turned her passion into a business and her fragrance label Arcadia was born. Inspired by her Emirati heritage, every bottle is tethered to a vivid memory treasured by Amna, taking inspiration from memories of her beloved mother, her wedding and the day she welcomed her daughter into the world. “I would tell young women to be adventurous, strive for more and take risks, all whilst staying true to themselves, because it’s difficult to not get caught up in today’s world.     Leila Al Marashi

    Businesswoman & Fashion Designer A background in marketing took Leila from a business degree to specialising in Social Responsibility and Renewable Energy in Paris. Soon after starting a career in the energy industry, she wanted to work on something a little more personal and established her fashion label Sugar Vintage. Inspired by Emirati heritage and her love for 40s’ vintage fashion, her collections were a roaring success. Simultaneously, Leila’s ambition took her to the next level of her career as the Vice President of Communications at a prominent UAE firm. Constantly looking for new challenges, Leila is now working on her latest project, CADO, a gifting app with same-day delivery. “Emirati women should never give up and always support one another in life, a woman deserves to have it all. A career, a family, motherhood, a strong network. Give yourself more love and time to grow and create.”

      Sumayyah Al Suwaidi

      Fashion Designer & Fine Artist Sumayyah’s passion for digital art began in 1996 and soon translated into her first artwork collection as a student in 2001, which in time led her to complete her Master’s in Arts and Creative Enterprises from the Higher Colleges of Technology. Her talents took a turn into the fashion world, fusing her artistic flair of fine arts with technology and earning her various awards, like Emirates Woman’s Woman of the Year 2011 and L’Officiel Arab Woman Awards’ Best Fashion Designer in 2013. “I would like to congratulate all the Emirati ladies on this special day. I am proud to be an Emirati, to have a day dedicated to us means we have reached extraordinary heights and we have responsibilities towards this day to keep working hard and to give back to our country.”
