We’re getting serious ’90s nostalgia from the surprising blend of design in the new Jimmy Choo and Timberland collaboration — think Destiny’s Child and JLo’s iconic workwear boots that have been given a glamourous makeover thanks to a smattering of crystals by our favourite stiletto saviour, Jimmy Choo. Marrying together two undeniable fashion footwear worlds into one with a juxtaposition of style and strength — Timberland’s original beige working boot has been injected with feminine accents for a collection that includes three unique styles. The first in the signature beige with an elegant, detailed JC logo, the second a showstopper with a Swarovski crystal collar and, last but not least, a black version of the streetwear boot with an embellished glitter toe.

“To collaborate with a brand like Timberland allows Jimmy Choo to explore a new avenue and take part in a different conversation.” Sandra Choi, Creative Director of Jimmy Choo tells us. “I love to mix it up by getting together with different creative minds, combining our DNA to create a beautiful and surprising product with unexpected links to the roots of both our brands. Timberland’s outdoor work heritage combined with our high-fashion sensibility creates something really exciting and unique in the market.”

And we couldn’t agree more, with three Ounass-exclusive throwback styles to choose from the collection provides a welcome hit of nostalgia that we can’t wait to sport with high-waisted mom jeans and an oversized tee reminiscent of our early noughties. From spaghetti straps to bucket hats, knee-high socks and belt bags, combat boots aren’t the only ’90s trend resurfacing, proving how the decade revolutionized the fashion industry and how the trend is going nowhere fast.

Keeping up with the times, the brands are also adding a sustinable component: as part of this exclusive launch and in support of Timberland’s pledge to plant 50 million trees over the next five years, Timberland will plant a tree for every pair of boots created in this limited collaboration. Feel-good fashion at its finest.
